Crawlspace Encapsulation in Southeastern North Carolina

Seal your crawlspace from ground moisture and outside air.

Wide view of completed crawlspace encapsulation with sealed vapor barrier and wrapped support piers

Most crawlspaces are vented to the outside, which sounds logical until you consider that southeastern North Carolina air is often hot and humid. That humidity pours into your crawlspace, condenses on cooler surfaces, and creates the damp conditions that lead to mold, wood rot, and pest problems. Encapsulation changes all of that by sealing the crawlspace off from outside air and ground moisture entirely.

The process starts with a heavy-duty 20-mil reinforced vapor barrier that covers the floor and walls of your crawlspace. We seal all vents, close off entry points, and address any standing drainage issues before the liner goes down. The result is a clean, dry, conditioned space that does not contribute moisture or pollutants to the rest of your home.

Encapsulated crawlspaces are also a recognized selling point. Buyers and appraisers look favorably on homes that have been properly protected, and a documented encapsulation gives you a real, tangible improvement to point to when the time comes to sell.
